Seo-gu’s Mark
- 1Seo-gu’s symbol consists of circular shapes both inside and out, symbolizing that Seo-gu is the center of Daejeon and that the city administration is focused on providing resident-centered services.
- 2Seo-gu’s symbol has the shape of “s,” which is the initial of Seo-gu, and the Taegeuk shape, which highlights its pursuit of ceaseless transformation and development. The quadrisection circular arcs show that Seo-gu is ever-evolving and continually expanding in all directions toward the world stage.
- 3The circular arc at the bottom represents Seo-gu and its land, while the navy color emanates a sense of stability and dignity. The three upper arcs symbolize the people, nature, and administration, while the green color represents the future and natural environment of Seo-gu, which is filled with joy and happiness.
Seorami (Seo-gu’s Mascot)
Seorami is the mascot of Seo-gu, and the name was created by combining Seo-gu and Daramjwi (chipmunk). In Chinese characters, it is written as “西覽,” where “覽” means “to watch over.”
Seorami is an agile and adorable chipmunk, who watches over the residents of Seo-gu.
